CNBM’s World’s Largest Electronic Glass Fibre Production Line Successfully Commences Operations

On 18 March, China Jushi (Huai’an), a subsidiary of China National Building Materials Group (CNBM), brought into operation its production line with an annual capacity of 100,000 tonnes of electronic glass fibre and 390 million meters of electronic fabric. This production line is the world’s largest single-unit electronic glass fiber production line and marks a new stage in building the world’s first zero-carbon intelligent glass fiber manufacturing base.

According to CNBM, the production line will provide high-end electronic materials to emerging sectors such as consumer electronics, 5G communications, and industrial control systems. The accompanying Phase II wind power project will help advance green and sustainable development of the glass fibre industry.

Zhou Yuxian, Chairman of CNBM, said China Jushi is a key pillar of the Group’s new materials segment. CNBM will fully support China Jushi’s development and the global glass fiber industry in exploring new paths toward sustainable growth.

The project has fully independent intellectual property rights and, through fully integrated intelligent manufacturing across the entire production process, significantly improves efficiency while reducing energy consumption. The products manufactured will meet growing demand for high-performance PCB base materials in emerging fields such as high-end servers and automotive electronics.

China Jushi has established a green circular development model in which green electricity is used to produce glass fiber, which in turn supports the generation of green energy. China Jushi is a leading global glass fiber manufacturer under CNBM, engaged in the R&D and production of a full range of glass fiber products.
